Artist Tour: Dr Gayle Chong Kwan

Science

Dr Chong Kwan’s practice brings together social history, ecology, and speculative research, often working with archives, foraged materials, and collaborative methods to explore the intersections of science, culture, and lived experience. During the tour, Dr Chong Kwan will reflect on how research informs her making, tracing the journey from investigation to experimentation and final form.

This tour provides insight into how contemporary art can operate as a site for inquiry, bridging scientific thinking and creative practice, and opening up new ways of understanding our relationships to place, environment, and knowledge production.
